Is Teeth Grinding Really an Issue?
Teeth grinding, or bruxism, is often unconscious and can be a reaction from stress, something we do at night, as a result of certain medical conditions or medications. If left, unaddressed teeth grinding can wear down your teeth, weaken the bone in your jaw, and even cause gum recession.
So yes, long story made short, teeth grinding really is an issue. And while being aware of the risks is important, we certainly don’t want to scare you!—The best thing to do is speak with our team because there are all sorts of solutions to teeth grinding and it’s really about finding which one works best for you.
The TLDR? If you’re experiencing:
- Jaw pain
- Tooth wear
- Gum recession
- Cracked teeth or unsightly craze lines

Gulia’s Book Corner
This month, Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green captured my attention! It’s a fascinating read and anyone who read and enjoyed The Emperor of All Maladies will surely love this book, too.
Everything is Tuberculosis dives into the historical and scientific biography of the disease—from the discovery of the bacteria primarily responsible for tuberculosis to its irrevocable impact on society. What’s more, the author personalizes the story by including the account of a young boy named Henry whose life we come to understand through his struggles with tuberculosis.
All in all, it’s a surprisingly quick read and will really get you thinking!
